New Rating Scale for Downloadable Games
August 23rd, 2009The game I completed this week was a the DLC for my favorite game of the year, so far. How should DLC and downloadable games be rated? They are normally smaller titles, so should less be expected in the quality department? Should they be rated in the same way as a full retail game?
I don't think so. That's why I wanted to change the rating scale for DLC and downloadable games.
Must Download - Like the title says, this is a must download title, it offers something that everyone should play
Try Before You Buy - Most downloadable games have a demo, if it gets this rating, I am suggesting you try the demo first.
Save The Hard Drive Space - This is a title you should stay away from, not worth your Microsoft Space Buck, your PSN Dollars, or your Wii Points
I think that this is a better way to rate the DLC coming out, especially with more meaty titles coming out, like Shadow Complex and Trine.
Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in
August 22nd, 2009
I tried playing WoW a couple weeks ago, but the guild I was in seems to have disintegrated, and I didn't feel that spark any more.
Blizzcon, The Blizzard based convention, is taking place this weekend, and they revealed a new expansion. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
The Big features are:
-Level Cap of 85
-Two new playable races:
*Worgen (Alliance)
*Goblin (Horde)
-New Race and Class Combinations
-New Profession (Archaeology)
-Flying mounts in all of Azeroth
Of course there will be new high level content too. Old world Azeroth will be reworked too.

Marathon For A Great Cause!
August 20th, 2009Tomorrow (8/21) starting at 9pm EST, a good friend, Kreyg D will be having a multiplayer videogame marathon.
This marathon is for a great cause, http://standupforkids.org
Here is a link to his broadcast, it will be a great time with his very fun and vocal Hot Blooded Gaming community!
Kreyg has put on some marathons for several charities in the past, and I think it's really important to support people who want to make a difference!

I'll be updating the site with Kreyg's progress!
The PS3 Slim is here
August 18th, 2009
Today Sony revealed the rumored Ps3 slim. It come with a $100 price drop, making it $299. It looks pretty slick too.
Is the new form factor and price drop enough to, if you don't already have one, make you run to the store when it's released in first week of September?
Gamesradar.com and PTOM have a video unboxing! Check it out!

Netflix on Xbox
August 10th, 2009
So, I'd consider myself to be a tech guy. Somebody who is on the ball when it comes to new tech ideas, but I wasn't on the ball for Netflix. Now, that was mostly because I was a DVD maniac, my current DVD count is somewhere north of 1300 DVDs.
A couple months ago, I joined the online sensation that is Netflix, mostly because of the ability to stream their instant streaming selection.
I love this service, and I think it might be one feature that makes the Xbox 360 the console to get for people who belong to the Netflix service.
I have been able to catch up on tv shows I've missed, to movies I just haven't had the time for. If you are a Netflix member and own a 360, check it out!
What are you streaming? Let me know in the comments!
